PREGNANCY YOGA
IN PRESTON
Pregnancy yoga is a fantastic and safe way to connect with your baby and your breath, prepare you for labour and birth, and give you the opportunity to meet other mums-to-be, share advice and information and become part of a supportive network of women.

Amy has been teaching pregnancy yoga for the last year after training with renowned pregnancy yoga teacher, Sally Parkes. She recently gave birth to her first baby, a little girl, in July 2025, and has proudly supported more than 20 women on their pregnancy yoga journeys.

In Amy's pregnancy yoga classes, which are run as six-week blocks, you can expect lots of relaxing, gentle movement, basic yoga postures and active birth positions to help you stay strong during pregnancy, as well as an emphasis on breath and body connection to help bring you closer to baby.
Amy is an advocate for healthy birth and believes that a mother's intuition trumps all, with women knowing their bodies better than anyone. She supports the birth without the need for intervention movement, but understands there is a place for induction should it be necessary to protect both baby and mum and is respectful of every woman's choice.
No previous experience of yoga is needed to join Amy's classes as they are not progressive and are suitable for and designed for beginners. If you are unsure about anything, please seek advice from your GP or midwife.

Amy's pregnancy yoga classes are held in six-week blocks and cost £60. They take place on Mondays at 5.15pm at Sacred Heart Community Centre, Ashton, Preston, and are suitable for pregnant ladies in their second trimester right up to (and even during) birth.
